Three Bengals, Zero Browns headed to the Pro Bowl
Three members of the Cincinnati Bengals will be heading to the NFL's Pro Bowl following the completion of the season. QB Carson Palmer, WR Chad Johnson and OT Willie Anderson were named to the Pro Bowl squad for the AFC on Tuesday. Meanwhile the Cleveland Browns will go yet another year without a single player going to the NFL's All-Star game. In fact, since the Browns returned to the NFL in 1999, the Browns have had just one player make the Pro Bowl roster. That one Pro Bowler was LB Jamir Miller who made the 2002 squad, but an injury cut his career short.
For Johnson and Anderson this is the fourth time that both players have been named to the Pro Bowl team. For Carson Palmer this will be his second time being named to the team and along with Boomer Esiason, Palmer is the only other Bengals QB to go to the Pro Bowl in two consecutive seasons.
